Innovate Uttarakhand Hackathon 2.0 is officially live—and it's bigger, bolder, and more inclusive than ever. With the theme “AI for Social Good,” this year’s edition opens its doors to teachers and students from government and aided (semi-government) schools, inviting them to harness the power of artificial intelligence to solve real-world challenges.

Inauguration by Ravinath Raman, IAS

The event was inaugurated by Ravinath Raman, IAS, Secretary of School Education, Uttarakhand, who emphasized the transformative potential of AI in education and community development. His address set the tone for a hackathon that’s not just about coding but about creating meaningful impact.

“Hackathon 2.0 is a platform for our educators and learners to dream, design, and deliver solutions that uplift society,” said Mr. Raman during the launch.

 Registration Timeline

Participants are encouraged to register early and begin shaping their ideas around AI-driven solutions for education, environment, health, and other social sectors.

 Ideation & Jury Review

Once registrations close, all submitted ideas will be reviewed by a panel of experts and innovators. Shortlisted entries will move to the next round, where students and teachers will have the opportunity to refine and present their projects with mentorship and feedback.

This phase is designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration—core skills for the 21st-century learner and educator.

Why It Matters

Hackathon 2.0 isn’t just a competition—it’s a movement. It reflects Uttarakhand’s commitment to digital literacy, inclusive innovation, and empowering grassroots changemakers. By focusing on AI for Social Good, the event aligns with national and global goals for sustainable development and equitable access to technology.
